Gingerbread Cookies with Cousins

On Monday we invited all our cousins to come over and make gingerbread cookies. We had so much fun. They got to roll and cut out the cookies and after we baked them they decorated them. It was so wonderful to have my two sisters and their kids in my home. I do beleive that I scored a bunch of brownie point with my nieces and nephews.

Christmas Morning

What a wonderful Christmas morning we had. Santa was very generous to the kids. Ellie got a bike and Ethan a real electric train. They also got clothes and other toys. Lonny gave Ellie A barbie and car plus clothes. He also gave Ethan two trucks. Ellie was so fun this morning. She saw that bike and just about went crazy. Ethan wasn't to sure what to think until he opened the train box. Then he didn't want to open anything else. This morning and Grandma and Grandpa Homer's house Ellie got an umbrella, boots, gloves and a hat she is looking very stylish. Ethan got more train stuff. The are living heaven right now. We want to thank all those who helped to make Christmas wonderful for our family this year! I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas too.

Ethan turned 2

Well my little boy is getting bigger and bigger. Last month he turned two years old. I can't believe it. It seems just like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. He keeps us so busy and makes us laugh all the time. He talks so much! Him and Ellie are the best of friends most of the time. He has such a hard time when she goes to preschool and he can't go with her.

In the Swing of Things

Well I have survived my first week of Substitute Teaching. I thought it would be really hard to jump back into the classroom, however it was just natural. When I finished the first day I told my mom that it just felt like I belonged there. My kids are doing great at Aunt Sandy's house. I don't think that they even miss me. I love picking them up at the end of the day and having lots of hugs and kisses. So far things have gone well in every classroom I have been in. I hope that trend continues. I feel very blessed that things are going well.

Turning the big 30

Well I hit the big 30 this week. I can honestly say that it didn't bother me that much. I was down a little the day before but that had more to do with other things. At least my husband will always be older than me. I am very excited for the next decade in my life. I am hoping it will be even better than the last three decades. It is kind of funny because almost all our friends are turning 30 too. I did love it when I girl I work with asked me if I was turning 26!!!! I said of course! I am so grateful for my family and who they helped me celebrate and have a great day.

Afternoon Tea For Ellie

Ellie had her first official tea party. She invited 3 of her friends over. They all came dressed so cute. They had lemonade, sandwiches, and cookies. It was so much fun.

Pioneer Day

We had a great time at my parents house for pioneer day. We went to the parade, dinner, and fireworks. It was really fun to see how excited they are for a temple to be built in their area. Ethan loved the horses in the parade. It rained a lot and made great mud for my kids to play in. Brandon told me he doesn't do mud, so it was up to me to clean up the kids.

The Things They Say!

Ethan has finally said his big sisters name. I have been waiting for the day he would finally say it. Now I get to hear it all the time and I love it. He is really starting to add words to his vocabulary.

Ellie says the cutest things. She wants me to hold her all the time. We can be in the car driving and she is saying "HOld Me". Yesterday she told me a hold is like a hug. So now everytime she wants me to hold her I will have to remember she just needs a hug.

Listening to History

While at the reunion it was so nice to listen to my Grandma's stories. She took us up to the old school house she went to. I really treasure those moments of learning about her history. So here are the pictures of her little school house.

Reynolds Family Reunion

Over Father's day weekend I had my annual Reyonlds Family Reunion. We always go camping in Luna, NM. This is where my ancestors settled originally. It is always so much fun. Brandon could not go with us so I had a fun weekend with the kids. Thank goodness for my Mom. She was such a big help with my kids. Ethan and Ellie were dirty the whole time we were there. It was tiring but really fun. It is always great to see my cousins and my neices and nephews. Here are some of the highlights from our trip.

First Day of Swim Lessons

Ellie had her first day of swim lessons today. She did great for the first ten minutes and then she had to go under the water. She cried the whole rest of the time. I love Sarah for just making her still do it. I am hoping Thursday will go better.

The House

As most of you know for the past 3 years we have been talking and working on building a new house. Well it is almost all done and we have sold it. This has been such a journey for us. We put our hearts into this home. But with the turn of the real estate market we had to make some decisions. With Brandon being in Real Estate we were really affected. Don't feel sad for us because we are really happy that we found a great buyer who loves the house as much as we do. I wanted to share some pictures of it with you. It has 5 bedrooms and is just gorgeous.

Talk, Talk, Talk

Ethan is starting to talk all the time. Last weekend when we were at my moms he would say "I did it!" every time he went down the slide. He is just becoming such a talker. He loves to look out his window in the car and says tree, car and so much more. He loves you to read books to him. I love that he is starting to express himself. There is a stone statue of a lion we pass when we are driving and he gets so excited saying lion, lion.
